In quick succession, I recently remembered that the video game Populous II exists/existed and discovered that it was available on Steam. I downloaded it and am re-enacting part of my childhood by playing it. I don't remember how to play (did I ever really know?) but apparently I remember enough because I'm winning.



This image gives me the feeling I've had a few times recently when revisiting things from my early chilhood.
It's like tickling recesses of my memory that haven't been touched for decades. To paraphrase Luke Skywalker on planet Dagobah in the Empire Strikes Back, there's something familiar about this place... like something out of a dream.

Just some doodled X-Men characters for an imagined jrpg style game, pen and paper (no idea from how long ago I did this, found in an old notebook).



Sometimes I wonder why I keep so many old notebooks and journals. Then I come across surprises from the past like this.
