I guess I am a creative, focusing currently mainly on writing, programming (indie solo game development), manga/comic creation, and other forms of visual art. I'm pretty mediocre at all of these. I have a non-creative professional day job, so only create when I have time and energy. I am creating here under my nom de plume, Khalil Sebastian Shah.

I produced a huge volume of creative works in my childhood and throughout my teens. I realise that, unfortunately, I spent much of my 20s, when I wasn't concentrating on my career, on suppressing my real interests and not pursuing my hobbies, trying - and failing - to seek the approval of others. Now in my 30s, I have decided to embrace the activities that I enjoy and share the outputs, even if they would make the 25-year old me cringe or be scared of being judged.

As such, I intend to share the good, bad, and ugly of my creative projects and outputs, including:
♢ My visual novel project, which I'm coding with Ren'Py - this is my most substantial project, definitely a slow burn WIP, but aiming to have some content to share soon, and ultimately a demo version to share
♢ Light novels and light short fiction writing
♢ Genre fiction writing
♢ Interactive fiction - a fascination of mine which I am looking forward to exploring
♢ (Probably) Fan fiction +/- fan art - I'm a wannabe fanficer in search of a fandom!

The styles and genres I am interested in writing vary wildly. I will try to keep the journal organised, with signposting and master threads etc when I have enough content to share!

As above, I have a full time job therefore I will be slow at having anything worth showing here, but I am also using this journal to share the old creative projects which I created in my youth including old drawings, comics, zines, and writing.

Elsewhere, I also write and have published more serious non-fiction and literary short fiction under my real name. In the future I aim to write and hopefully publish more literary fiction in the form of short stories and novels under my real name.
